Maybin Loloma, Health Program Officer at MC-Zambia, an affiliate of MCW Global, shares his journey with MC-Zambia and reflects on his experience with the organization. He discusses what motivates him, his proudest achievements, and how his values align with the mission of MCW Global.
Being with MC-Zambia for four years, he is deeply motivated to continue his engagement with MC-Zambia because of the organization’s culture, values, and commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of the most underprivileged individuals in his community.
“It’s an organization that brings everyone together, learns from each other, and supports growth.”
One of the most significant moments of his time with the organization was his full participation in developing the MC-Zambia Strategic Plan.
“The most outstanding achievement was my full participation in developing the MC-Zambia Strategic Plan and leading the team in identifying new fishing communities that have been incorporated into the MC-Zambia program. These communities make me so proud every day to be part of the reason MC-Zambia is operating in the area.”
For Maybin, the mission and values of MCW Global resonate deeply with his passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
“Through our work and activities, we are helping young people to reach their developmental milestones in life through the attainment of decent education, and get skilled and involved in the leadership of their communities. e,g. building capacity through the training of young people in entrepreneurship, leadership, and financial literacy. I am compassionate and hold high levels of responsibility and integrity in executing my solution.”
MCW Global has also been instrumental in his personal and professional growth.
“Through a combination of meetings, training, and webinars, the organization emphasizes the importance of balancing personal development with professional performance.”
This approach has inspired Maybin to invest in himself, acquire relevant skills, and continuously improve his work performance.
A Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, Maybin’s hope for the future is to see communities and young people taking a leading role in solving their challenges.
He envisions these individuals embracing opportunities created by organizations like MCW Global, which enhance their well-being and empower them to bring about positive change.
“MCW Global is making a significant contribution to education, health, and economic strengthening. It has continued to give hope to the less privileged children to be in formal education, support schools with relevant tools to enhance learning, and support women with start-up capital to improve their household income.”
He acknowledges that in addition there is an increase in beneficiaries participating in various community leadership positions as a result of Leadership training conducted with the support of MCW Global.
